We just bought some kuhlii loaches from 2 hours away. They were acting normal in the store. No dead bodies in the tank. They were foraging in the gravel, pushing it around. I have acclimated them and just noticed some of them may have whitspot. They have tiny white dots throughout their body. I need help! Bad! No other fish have them, just the kuhliis. The tank is a Eclipse 12, 14 US gallons. other fish are 3 glowlight tetras, 6 cardinal tetras, 1 bristlenose pleco, and now the 5 kuhliis. I need help from anybody. That was the only store that sells them, and it is 2-3 hours away. I do have two other LFs's that have other good fish and supplies, but no kuhliis. I would like a confirmation on if they have whitspot and I would like to know a good medication. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Whitespots generally mean whitespot. What substrate do you have? The spots may well be grains of sand or calcium deposits.

There's a pinned topic on whitespot in the fish emergency section which will tell you all you need to know about it but I tend to find that Interpet no.6 whitespot works very well with this parasite. You may need to use a half dose as khulis are scaleless and sensitive to medications. Read the instructions.

I is gravel slightly larger than pea gravel. My friend is bringing over some ich medications tomarrow. I will half dose. Should I remove the carbon filter?

Just got some Ick-Guard II. It says it is for scale-less fish. Should I still half dose?

If it dosn't say not to half dose in the instructions I wouldn't.

Okay, did my first dose of ich medication. But I just noticed I had lost one. :-( :-( :rip: Now my others have some strange large white splotches. They appear to be under the skin. I NEED HELP A LOT!!!!

Ok. Poor thing R.I.P.

Is it possible to load a pic up.
Bleaching beneath the skin can be columnaris.
