Kuhli Loaches Weird Behaviour

Last night before I went to bed my 2 kuhli loaches started darting around the tank, swimming up and down very quickly, in and out of everything. I can go for weeks without seeing these guys then suddenly they're sychronised swimming! They started at the exact same time and it was just after I medicated th tank for finrot, of course I panicked and put some carbon in to remove the medication. This morning they're still at it.

If they were sick it would be starnge for them to start at the exact same moment? Is there anything that can explain this? Could it be some kind of mating ritual?

Meds can make fish act weird for a few minutes.
Have you increased aeration as with them being bottom dwellers it hard on the bottom if there not enough aeration with the med.
Best to dilute the med down with a water change and see how they go.
