Kuhli Loaches On Gravel

so i have 7 kuhli loaches but i have gravel and have noticed a few of them are how can i put it fading in colour i guess. looking sort of worn on the sides, i realise now i shoudn't of purchased these fish when using gravel. im thinking there trying to squeeze into places they aint getting and rubbing against the gravel. so in short should i give them away as i think changing to sand would be too stressful and not good for any of my fish.

Thanks James

I have Khulis with gravel. There are plenty of pieces of wood in the tank and they just hide under those.

I used to have sand in my tank, and really didn't like it. Main problem was that when I used to clean the algae off the glass, a few grains always seemed to get stuck between the magnet and the glass and would result in scratches.

Perhaps you could make a small area of sand in one of the corners?

unless i could make something to split the gravel and sand i don't think that would be a wise idea in the long run and would be just as much work removing fish etc to do that. rather jus go to sand looks much more effective and i havn't heard pf that problem wwith sand b4, maybe u have the wrong sand
