Hello,

If say, I had 1.5 inches of argos play sand with 1cm of tropica substrate below it with kuhli loaches (or any fish which buries its self) would it mess up the substrate and bring all the fertile tropica up?

Thanks in advance :)

My Kuhlis dont tend to burrow as such they like weaving in and around plants however my substrate is small gravel. There one of my favourite fish.

I'd go 2inches just to be safe. You should be ok.

Thanks RadaR, what would happen if the fish dug up the tropica, would it just be messy rather than dangerous to the fish?

I can't wait to get mine, A lot of people seem to like them :fun: I think they burrow a little more in sand though...

Yeah just messy. Not dangerous for them.

The kuhlis will also make sure no gases build up in the sand too... good balance hopefully

will start a blog on here soon if anyones interested :good:
