hi all

does anyone hav any info on breeding kribs??

i now have 1 male an 2 females

ive had the male longer an giot 2 females 2day he seems to really like the both of them at the mo lol

i would really like to breed them any one hav any info??

What size tank are they in? If it's too small, you could have a real problem if you get a m/f pair - they could kill the other female.

Basically, krib breeding is easy. Give them a cave and they'll spawn Mine have spawned at least once. I saw 2 fry once but they got eaten. Next time, I may move the fry to a breeding net to get some size on them, but haven't put much thought into it yet.

so do male an females get red bellys??

i herd that only females do an that females hav the spots on her fins??

i don't know that much about krib's so don't take my word on it but all my Krib's( i have 4 ) all get red bellies so i would say there all do as for spot's on fins i thought same as u but after the post u read i'm not to sure anymore

Males bellies get kinda pinkish, but it's nothing close to the bruised purple that the females get.

Spots - males, if they have spots on their fin, it will be on their tail fin while the female's spot will be on her dorsal fin.

Tail - The male's tail is longer and more pointed, while the female's is shorter and rounded. Same goes for the ending of the dorsal fin.
