hi ive got a pair of kribs and noticed a strange behaviour from the male he has already cleared a patch of gravel and now hes shaking in front of the female is this courtship or just an over amorous fish behaviour please advise thanks

Kribs are an African Cichlid. And, yes, id does sound like they are getting ready to breed. All the best to you.

Kribs are African Cichlids not South American Cichlids

i was lead to believe these were new world as ive been told many times i couldnt mix the two together and was told these would be good in my community cichlid tank ,ive got 2 blue acara ,2rainbow cichlids,2 indian leaffish,2plecsand a german blue ram and all seem to get on really well,ive also got the 2 rainbow cichlids mating as well as we speak the female is laying eggs so ive got a busy time so fingers crossed all goes well think i may get a smaller tank and put the eggs in what do you think?
