I have a 190 litre Juwel trigon tank and wanted to keep four kribs together – would they just fight? Is there a type of krib that gets along in a group of 4?

Thanks
Andy

Type of krib?

Do you mean albino and stuff like that?

Depends really, If a pair forms they will make a territory and chase all other fish out of it. My Kribs (a very long time agoo) bred in a 4ft community tank and kept 3 ft for them and made all the other fish live in the last 12 inches. Well they tried - the tank was well planted and no harm came to anybody, but the Kribs certainly defended their area

Don't know what shape or size your tank is, but you'll be happier all round if you let a pair form then give away the other two. They'll spend more time breeding, so you'll have hundreds of them before long anyway!

In my opinion, Kribs just ruin a community. When breeding which is easy to do, they become aggressive. Even on their own they are mean to other fish. So if you are having a community then i would stay clear of Kribs.

i disagree with the previous. kribs can be kept and bred in a community setting, but you have to be particular regarding their tankmates.

i've found that slower fish like guppies are entirely unsuited but fast (larger) tetras do pretty well. until recently i had Red-Eye Tetras in there with no problems. plecos are good at holding their own but can turn into egg-eaters.

so long as you have 2m/2f kribs and the tank is heavily decorated/planted, i think a 4ft could work. but be sure that there are plenty of caves to go around; try to have all caves be about the same size too.
