Hi,
I currently have a large community tank containing a pair of Kribs - they have spawned a couple of times now and I have about 6 fry from the first batch who have survived and are now about 4 months old.
I am thinking of setting up a new tank and could I keep just Kribs in this tank or is it best to only have couple of them in a tank at one time?
Basically, to cut a long and boring story short.....how many Kribs can be kept happily in the same tank?

Since you have a breeding pair,
I recomend you set up a tank just for that pair (20 gallon minimum)
plant it and add caves etc so you have a high fry survival rate, they'll never stop breeding so dont worry.

I was thinking of a tank between 30 and 40g.
I know the pair will breed regualrly but the fry from 4 months back are now getting quite big. If there are 8-10 adult Kribs in a tank would this be problematic?

I'm thinking if they are anything like new world rams then there would be problems. Since a pair requires 20 gallons at least, 2 pairs need a 40 gallon for rams. From what I have read they are a lot alike so I'm guessing just 2 pair in a 40 gallon and there would be problems with 8-10 adults in that size of tank. I could be wrong and making the wrong intrepretation, maybe kribs have different needs...so hopefully someone more experienced will come along.
