i'm just wondering, what do you guys feed your kribs? please name only the dry food that you feed them.

I have SEVERE problems trying to get mine to eat. It's been week snow, they have fry, andt hey reufse to eat anything but bloodworms. The manager at petsmart told me to try starving them a little and then forcing them to eat dry food, and stop feeding bloodwroms becuase they might have gotten use to the taste of bloodworms and not want anything else. (btw this is what happens when you spoil ur fish).

So now, i have these sinking shrimp pellets, which i do see them pecking from time to time but i doubt it's actually filling them up anyhow. the feamle is more willing to try food, but the male looks like he'd rather starve

i'm thinking of heading out and getting some sprinlina sticks or something like that, but if i could get them to eat teh shrimp pellets i'd ratehr them eat that becuase the sticks are expsnive

dry foods mine eat:

1. Hikari Tropical flake
2. Omega One Freshwater flake
3. Nutrafin Spirunila Algea flake
4. Tetra ColorBits Tropical Granules
5. Nutrafin max Complete flake
6. Hikari Cichlid Complete
7. TetraMin Tropical Granules
8. BIO-BLEND cichlid-small
9. Wardley total tropical flake.

Try soaking your flake in the water left over from the bloodworm and using a medicine dropper. That's how I've gotten finicky fish to start accepting dry foods.

ooo that's a great idea!!! soaking it in the bloodworms water.

yours will eat so much stuff -_- mine are just such picky eaters

Are you using frozen bloodworms or freeze dried? If you use freeze dried, you can crush some bloodworms and mix it with flake food. That worked to get some of my cichlids to eat flake food. In the end its much healthier for them then just using blood worms, they don't get a completely balanced diet otherwise.

arhg i'm at my wits end with tehse guys, here are the list of dry foods that i've tried to get htem to eat:

regular tropical fish flakes
sinking shrimp pellets
freeze dried bloodworms
betta pelelts?

andt oday i just bought a can of food called "cichlids sprinlia sticks", supposet to be good, they're suppose to love sprinlia, but DARNIT ALL the stupid sticks float.

they float and they NEVER sink! the kribs dont' come up for food unless they are really deperate (the female is doing it now, but the male looks like he'd rather starve). i try to get htem to sink...but it'll just float!

AHHH

p.s. i have one cube of blodoworms left :-( that is my last cube! for 2 weeks becuase i just ordered a big pack of hikari blodowrms from someone and i don't want to buy another pack and waste more money

p.s. the female seesm to be hanging on, she'll actually give the food a try..as for the male..he looks like he's really starving  they are tending to fry at the moment and he seems to be doing almost all the work..i've dropped food right in front of his facea nd he won't eat it :/
