Kribs Digging?

Hi all,

got a male and a female krib and for the past 2~3weeks they have been shaking at each other, both have been doing this but nothing has came of this.
Today i was told and saw they are digging holes in the sand... does that mean they are going to spawn? also i thought they were cave breeders so im not sure if digging holes has anything to do with breeding? if it does then why?

IME it is the male doing the digging.
I think it is the krib equivalent of men boiling water during the birth.
Expect to see fry very soon
