ive recently been interested in these 2 fish and would like to have them.

my tank would be a 29 gal and is heavily planted. i was thinking of going with one of these stocking possiblities:
1) 1 angel, 2 bolivian rams(one male and one female), 7 neons, 7 glo lites, 5 corries, and 3 ottos

2) same as 1 except kribs intead of rams

3) 1 angel, 5 corries, 2 kribs(1 male and 1 female), 2 bolivian rams(1 male and 1 female), and 5 neons, 5 glo lite, and 3 ottos(i know this would be def overstocked but doing regular water changes for it wont be a prob, i already do 20% a week and increasing that to twice a week or so wont be a prob)

so my questions are this:
1) will this work?
2) are they any issues you guys see?
3) which stocking should i go with(i would like to do #3 if possible)
4) are they any hard rules to determin sex of the bolivian rams(like on germans and kribs the female has a redish pink belly)?
5) what should i provide as places for the kribs and rams to breed(i belive it would be caves and flat rocks)?
i think thats all my questions..........cant think of any more ATM. your help will be appricated.

Unfortunatly your tank isn't big enough to have two pairs of dwarf cichlid,
IMO, i'd stick with a pair of Bolivians as IME they are less aggresive then Kribs and will leave most of your fish in peace, and dont grow as big as kribs as a bonus :)
I'd also not keep the angel with neons and glo lights, which are angels natural food :)
Slates and caves are good for territory and cover, some plants would be good too
To determine the sex of bolivians is easy
males are darker in colour and have more yellow and have an extended dorsal fin
females are plumper, lighter in colour and have a rounded dorsal fin :)
HTH and good luck

thanks. i know about neons and angels. i was told that if you raise a small young angel with neons they may be less likely to eat them when they are older and bigger. if one day my angel eats them i wont be too hart broken cuzz im not the biggest fan neons and glo lites. besides ill just have a happy angel(and full).

better to be safe then sorry though, IMO that "growing up" story is a un proven myth. and besides, the neons will probably die from stress of having a predetor around them.

Out of curiosity, how talls is your tank?

i have had only 1 neon eaten by my african dwarf frog.(neon was tiny)my other is a bigger neon.so if u want neons dont get the tiny ones from stores.and my angel grew up with my fish and is barely agressive

i already have a couple. look at my profile(or the link in my sig) and youll see all the fish i have. i havent seen my angel going after them YET.
