I have had them before in a comunity tank. I am thinking of having some by themselves.
The local store has some that are too young to sex. If I endup getting 2 or more males will I have a problem? thanks; Don T.

you shouldnt do with males its more the females which can be more aggressive and territorial

Thats utter nonsence.

2 males will fight to the death. Kribs like 99% of all other Cichlids are very teritorial. 1 Male to 1 Female per tank. (unless you have a huge long tank, in that instance you might get away with more than one "pair"

The males even when smaller, do have a more prolonged and extended dorsal fin, than the female. A males body is usually also more elongated in appearence, where as the female will develop a rounded belly which obviously gains that bright red colour. sometimes not all the time a the female will have a odd shaped spot/s on top of the dorsal fin.

its also true that all male cichlids will generally fight for terriotry, but in my experience female kribs always spar for the attention of that lucky male.
hope this helps.

As the owner of over 30 Kribensis...yes 30 (due to unwanted breeding) I have found they are even when aggressive barely cause damage to each other and I have three breeding pairs so...pretty much they intergrate well only if breeding and when they are breeding they are so concentrated on the eggs that the violence stops quickly

I agree, I once had a Kribensis and it killed off two Cockatoo cichlids within a day :(

When dealing with kribs, theese are your usual outcomes: 2 males, will fight and kill eachother, 2 female will fight and kill eachother( usually), adn male and female= babies. I recommend getting a male and female.
