Kribensis Tank Set Up

I am cosidering getting a pair and putting 'em in a 29 galon. it's 3- inches long. It'll be a species tank. I am gonna put some bogwood in there. I'll put a few clay flowerpots in there too they'll be caves. I am thinking of some plants, would I use live or fake?

Sounds good. I would say real plants are moe helpful with water quality, and they will sometimes tear a little of them up and then use it for thier "nests"

So they're not destructive (plant wise) as other cichlids are. This is good as I really wanted to use live plants.

Are the hardy like convicts?

Will I see a lot of paremtal nature as I would with convicts?

They can be desturctive platn wise, but it isnt a practiced behaviour. They are very hardy, and i would consider even better parents than convicts.
