I currently have a 90 litre tank with 2 male dwarf gouramis, a few guppies, a bristlenose plec and as of last weekend the proud owner of 2 beautiful female kribensis.

I am a little worried about one of them though, i have a heater in the corner of the tank with an air pipe running just behind it and theres a small gap between the heater and the edge of the tank. She seems to swim into the gap facing upwards or downwards and seems to stay there for long periods.
Im wondering if there is something wrong e.g. shes sicks, or if she happens to like it behind the heater?

any help would be greatly appriciated

Many thanks

The other female has probably frightened her off as they often fight when you keep 2 females as the want breeding territory. Id swap a female for a male... sway the one that hides as the other is probably stronger and more likely to breed.

the other female is pregnant as far as i am aware, but i may have to do that as i don't want her to go to waste.
thank you for the advice though

ah well look at that, learn something new everyday! the one which i thought was pregnant has a much pinker belly and a darker area behind it so is it likely she has eggs ready to lay?

yeah come to think of it, she does seem scared of the more dominent female. ill take her back and exchange her....thanks guys for the advice
