My Kribensis have just had some fry, they are tiny.
I managed to catch 8 and put them in my quarantine tank.
As they were so small and the female was very protective I thought I would put her in to, goble, goble goble, there all gone.......
Damn I thought, so I put her back in the main tank where she instantly spat them all out, I managed to get her and 4 back.
I then added the male for company and he gobled them all up, but once he was seetled he spat them back out.

So I have the proud parents and 4 fry in my quarantine tank.
I don't know what to do from here, is it safe to turn my small Eheim Aquaball 2208 Filter on, or are they silly enough to be sucked up?
What temperature would they like?
What shall I feed them on, and how long should I leave the parents in there?

Kribs are normally good parents to there fry there is no need to remove the fry. They will look after them for a long time. They will try to attack any fish that swims to close to there young .what other fish are the in ther tank.

as fish48 said but just add some newly hatched brineshrimp to the tank each day for the babies to eat. In a month or so you can catch the babies out and the parents will breed again.

So you recon I don't need to remove from the main tank?
Please see my profile for fish list, although a little out of date.

Your kribs are goanna be busy chasing that lot of lol .
watch out the angel fish will be the first to get any fry.

if anything the other fishes will thin the baby kribs out so you won't have as many to get rid of when bigger.

First off, Kribensis Cichlids are African Cichlid's, so you would get more help there. Second, kribs will tkae care of thier babies until they are ready to breed again. Third, the Quarentine is better, as they dont have to protect the babies from anything. Also, for the fastest growing rate, take the temp to 82 degree's, and feed them Baby Brine Shrimp( BBS). If you want you can PM me for more information.
