I have just looked into my tank and realised that my kribensis had lost her spawning colours which to me meant she had laid eggs, I looked Into the cave that she is using and saw lots of Orangeish coloured eggs on the floor. I have never had eggs on the floor before is this where she laid them or could they have fallen off or could they be wrigglers from Tom

Could be fresh wrigglers (they don't look much different from eggs at first. Basically a yolk sack with a tiny tail) or just eggs. At least if they're eggs and stay orange'ish they're fertilized.

Don't worry. I've heard of floor-eggs cases that hatched just fine.

Either way you'll likely have wrigglers soon (eggs hatch in a few days)

I really hope so although this will be the pairs first batch of eggs so I'm not holding my breath. Have you heard of any kribensis that have successfully raised there first batch of eggs from Tom

Yup. My new juvie pair with 2 week old buggers (9 days free swimming) is a first spawn.

I bought those less than a month ago. I spent close to an hour figuring out which ones I wanted in the shop. (The staff started to look at me funny ;)). I bought that pair deliberatly small (hard to tell males) and didn't expect them to breed the first few months.

Ah ok these ones had paired up in there tank and they were preparing a nest in a piece of wood when I came and got them so maybe the same will happen for me from Tom

when mine spawn they're on the roof the first day or two, then they all plop down on the bottom, you should be on your way to baaabies!  I'm on my third wiggler day myself so *fingers crossed for everyone!*

I'm not sure when they were laid but when the female was out the cave I looked and none of the eggs were moving from Tom

first day or so after dropping you might not see anything, keep checking

Well then hopefully I might have wrigglers this time from Tom
