Kribensis Diet

I brought home a pair of beautiful kribs this week! I have a question, though, about their diet.

Will they typically eat the plants - especially vals? I've been watching them bite off the ends, but it's usually just the vals and especially, the ones with frayed ends. There was also a dead piece of plant stuck on the filter intake and one of the kribs ate that, too, before I could get to it.

They, like many fish, will nibble and eat off dead parts of plants, but will not eat a whole plant or live one like some other fish will.
