i have a 90 litre tank with 4 tetras and 3 peppered catfish, and would LOVE to have either a pair of kribensis, or a pair of bolivian rams as they both display beautiful colours!
the question is, could i keep both? :) i have plenty of plants, and flower pots and caves for them to hide in and make their own, and would do very regular water changes, are they compatible? any tips would be greatly appreciated :)
thankyou!

It'll come down to the personalities of the fish.. If you get some friendly kribs and some friendly rams, then everything should be fine.
And the tank has room for a pair of both in my opinion.

I think the trick is, be prepared to take some fish back to the store if they act up, and don't be too disheartened if you have to.
Decide which pair you'd want to keep the most beforehand, and be prepared to take the other back just in case.

Make sense??

yeah that makes a lot of sense, i'll keep that in mind :) thankyou!

I think it is too small for two pairs, also you would be almost guaranteed to get problems when they start spawning.. it would be come home to dead fish one day sort of thing as well.

For example, I have 4 keyholes who lived together in a much larger tank for 5.5 years, a pair of them spawning regularly and generally being happy fish. About a month ago or so, I came home from work to two of the four shredded for no reason. Since then, I can't mix the two and pair together as they go on a murder spree on sight.
