Hey people,

Right, bit of a predicament..

I have a 95l tank that was fishless cycled about 3-4weeks ago.. Orignally i put in 2 x Krib + 1 x Clown Plec. I've recently added (2 days ago) 6 x green tiger barbs..

At first the kribs seemed to get on with the plec, but now the kribs have gone all defensive since adding their new roommates,, if any of the barbs go anywhere near them they chase them off trying to nip them,, they're also picking on the poor old plec too.. Whenever they go near him, they chase him off -- Now he dhesn't seem to go anywhere near the driftwood, he seems to prefer the filter!

Is this anything to be concerned about, or will they calm down soon?

Thanks,

Sc0tt8.

Ps.. I've noticed a couple of the barbs squabbling a fair bit,, is this just a temporary thing whilst they work out the pecking order or whatever it is they do??

Kribs can be very defensive of their territory, even more so when they're breeding, and can easily snack on anything smaller than 2 inches.

Has for tiger barbs, they're aggressive fish anyway, hence the name and probably do better with their own kind.

Hopefully they will settle down.
