What can I do with my male krib? he terrorises my 4 cory at feeding time. Will introducing a female krib calm him down or make hime worse? Will I have to remove the 4 cories? I want to keep the krib. its a 33 gal. tank well planted.
My krib is a little piggy and pretty much thinks anything on the bottom of the tank is hers. She would bully the upside catfish when they were little. So when it came to feeding time, I would put algae wafers in opposite ends of the tank so she could have one to herself and the little cats would share one on the other side.
Is it only at feeding time he does this?
I think putting in another krib would be devasting to the cories as a pair of kribs can be very aggressive to everything in the tank once they are in breeding-mode.
yes if you want them to calm down, don't get a female, my krib (and even kribs when I had a pair) got along fine with the cories until they started breeding, then the kribs stuck it to the cories, they had to be moved out to another tank to avoid losing their fins.
