i have a pair of kribs....a large male and a 1.5" female.......they both seem eager to spawn but never at the same time.....the male shakes at her and she rarely responds.....and then she'll shake and arch her belly at him.....and he doesnt seem overly interested......they are both trying to flirt but never at the same time.... at the moment she is trying desparetly to get his attention......hes not swimming away but hes not shaking back at her either........does anyone have any experience with young krib females........im not sure if this is because she is so young, if they are just poorly matched, or if they are just REALLLYYYY slowww.....any input would be great!!! heres a picture of them.....her belly is much more cherry looking in real life....my camera doesnt really show the colour for some reason.

How old are they and how long have they been courting each other? They probably just need a little more time, or you don't have an ideal pair, but i'm no expert so hopefully someone whos bred kribs will answer your question.

Yep typical krib behaviour - mine never display to each other at the same time either and are now on their third set of eggs!

im not sure of thir ages...my male is full grown and my female is only 1.5" so shes not very old.....they have been doing this off and on for about a month.....lol hopefully soon then!!!!! thanks for your replys!!!!!

i have 2 caves.....and 3 tunnels......and a few large rocks they can dig under if they want to.....they did dig under a rock about a month ago but they dug out to much and it toppled over....they didnt have any eggs in it though they were just in the middle of building it.....dont worry i got rid of that rock...dont want anyone getting squished!!!!!
