Hi,

I'm not sure if this should be here OR in hybrids but I'll go with here.

I was looking around the net before in search of nothing much and came across a site which some guy was saying he had albino and normal kribs together along with hybrids of the two mentioned.

I've never seen an albino one, and couldn't find one from google, does anypone have some pics, or albino and the hybrids? I know they are not true hybribs just colour morphs.

Just interested, Thanks :good:

just an addition, I know wild Kribs are pale in colour, unlike our tank bred specimens, could this be the confusing this guy has? that he has wilds and captives in the same tank?

I just got an albino krib and I have normally colored ones. Don't have much to report yet as I just got them, but it is truly an albino. I have been told that normally colored male kribs actually prefer albino females.

yeah you do get albino kribs, I was reading about fishies the other night in my book and there was a pic of one in it.

here is a pic of some albino kribs that I took at my old works

-_- isn't it the same as every thing else thats Albino, its the loss of the genetic strand that dictates colouration. in basic terms...

in more complex terms:
Albinism is a genetic condition resulting in a lack of pigmentation in the eyes, skin and hair. It is an inherited condition arising from the combination of recessive genes passed from both parents of an individual. A variety of problems with photosensitivity in eyesight and skin usually result from the condition.
