we bought a male and female krebensis 2 wks. ago and they have had loads of babies!!! which we were not prepared for...the parents are being very good with them, hovering above them and taking them on outings, lol she takes them into a little 'cave' overnight. the problem is we have swordtails, mollies,a red-tailed shark, neons, glass fish and an algae eater and the parents are being run ragged trying to protect them.anyone got any idea how long it will be before they are large enough to fend for themselves??? would it be advisable to try and catch the fry and put them in a 'net' with their parents? has anyone had a similar problem? and what did you do? cheers....

It will be a couple of months before they will be able to fend for themselves. The good thing about cichlids is that they make excellent parents.
