Guys,

130 ltr tank with LR. Stocked FOWR but looking to go towards Corals perhaps 9 - 10 months time, letting the tank mature.

Only concern i have right about now is the flow of water within the tank. Recently purchased a powerhead Hydor Koralia nano and its brilliant, but I dont think it is moving the water enough. I have it pointing towards the surface in an attempt to agitate the surface for Co2 and PH balance etc, but i think i need something to move the water around the rock and eventually coral. I am thinking of going for another Hydor Koralia perhaps a 2 or 3. I dont want something that is going to blast the fish and sand substrate away

So i was wandering, not having seen tunzes actually working, which would you consider the best option?

Tunzes are better on a LPH/W basis and are comparable in price for similr sized units.

When keeping marine it is very hard to have too much circulation for fish and sand, SPS keepers run up to 100x turnover per hour.

I would go for the tunze every time, but I prefer to buy the best I can afford on my electrics, unless I can make it myself.

Thanks Andy, i shall do some quick figures and see what is out there.

Tunze programmable pumps are nice but costly. Not sure if Koralia do a programmable pump.

No they do not. Tunze pumps are actually DC motors and DC electric is MUCH easier to regulate/pulse. If you want to do wavemaking with a Koralia (AC motored) you have to use an industrial frequency modulator, or a Seio pump controller.
