Kodak Easy Share C300

Hi,
I have been using a Kodak EasyShare C300 for my fish tank pics and it has taken some good pics but also some crappy pics. Can anyone help me figure out how to take the best pics with this camera?

dose it have a sport facility (little running man on dial)?
if so use this.

No, it has off, video, auto, and night vision. Oh and the lens is 37mm.
