Does your camera have a mode for quick/fast pictures. Meaning that it has a fast shutter speed. This way you can make the action "stop." I would say turn off the lights in the room and put on some Barry White to help get into the mood. Preferably "Practice what you preach"
No but really, turn off the lights and don't use flash or else it will just reflect back at you. Of course, try and keep your hand steady and try leaning your arm against the stand maybe. If your camera has the option to hold down the shutter button half way; in order to focus, use it. That's all I can think of right now, as I am not that great a photographer myself. Not bad, but certainly not as good as some of the other members on this forum. Also it is key to remember, glass is highly reflective at times. Always wear clothes when taking your pictures. You'd be surprised at how many pictures of people disobeying this rule have popped up on the internet.
