Knight Goby

I have a knight goby that's around 6 years old. He's kind of slowing down and his swimming is a little off balance and he's looking a little rough around the edges. I've had old bettas before and this looks similar to just old age, but I don't really know how long they live so I was wondering if I should try to medicate for something or is it just nature running its course?

Unless the fish was actually showing signs of finrot (splits, swellings or bloody sores on the fin membranes, dead white tissue) I wouldn't treat this fish.
