Knight Gobies Like To Eat Halfbeaks!

As posted before, I bought 10 halfbeaks. I was aware that they have a hard time acclimating to differnt tanks (PH, SG, etc) so when i lost several over the first few days I thought it was normal. I did think it was a little odd that I never found a body but they are really small and the same color as my substrate....


That was until i saw one of my Knight Gobies swim to the top of the tank, and snatch up a halfbeak. Practically swallowed him whole.

Well, I am down to one now and he has been transfered to my Bumblebee tank.

This totally sucks....

Awww that sucks! Knight Gobies have a reputation of eating smaller fish fish, espically bumble bee gobies. Its best not to house any fish smaller (espically small enough to be swallowed) than themselves. Their huge mouths open quite wide, and anything that can fit in there will.

As a general rule, I always make sure that nobody will fit in anybodies mouth.

its a fish eat fish world for sure, my knights like to eat my bumblebee gobies, my bumblebee gobies like to eat my chromide fry, everything likes to eat my molly fry, and my puffers very occasionally like the taste of a fin or two and arent fussy whose it is
