Hi there, I bought these fish yesterday, being told they were called rice tetras, but when I got home and researched, I learned otherwise. I posted them in livebearers and was asked to post pictures so here they are...

Interesting fish sorrel, I've never seen one before! how much did they cost ya and do they breed easily like most livebearers?

I paid 1.98 a piece for them, they were the only two they had, said the were shipped unmarked, so I kinda think they just made up the names.

Cometcattle, yes they do have blue eyes...did I miss id? I was thinking that they look like killis and mollies mixed together or something. If thats what they are, how do I care for them?

I'm pretty sure those are lamp-eyed panchax. I can't find a pic to save my life.
I looked everywhere.

Mine will eat flakes or whatever else floats. Mine are in a well planted 10g with a pair of breeding kribs. Temp at 80F. I read that they make the best dithers for small breeding cichlids. That's what mine were bought for.

Every so often when I turn on the aquarium lights, I will see eggs near the anal fin of one of them. Haven't seen any fry though.

Thanks cometcattle, I looked those up in my book and here's the picture it shows...they don't look like my fish...do they look like yours? I hear ya on the picture thing, I googled for almost an hour this morning

I bought mine at PetSmart and I didn't read the latin name. )

I even checked a bunch of killi association pages.

Yes, mine have on eyeshadow.
