Just got two kissing gouramis yesterday and they both are doing fine, we just can't figure out if they're both males or one male and one female. One seems to fight his reflection a lot and the other pretty much hides during his mirror fights. They both hang together and don't fight. Anyone have any idea what we have? I know they are physicaly impossible to sex, but how about behavior to determin sex?

Behaviour won't help much either unless they breed. It is tempting to think the more aggressive is a male, but that's not usualy a clear indication of sex as the dominant (typicaly the larger) fish will always be more aggressive regardless of sex. Other than aggression and their dominance, there isn't realy much to go by.

well i hear thet when they kiss they are actually 2 makes showing off their muscles fpr the females

so the make could be showing off with another male(at least he thiks so)

and the female could be watching

however i wouldnt base anything on my opinion because im new to kissing gouramis
