Kissing Gourami's with Ich

My mom's 3 kissing gourami's have ich. It looks to be all over their bodies. I put the rest of what I had of copper safe in the tank for now, but the only other thing I have is Melafix. Can Melafix be used to treat ich?? I won't be needing to add anything until tomorrow, being as it should be used daily.....but should I get something particularly for ich? Maybe buy more copper safe?

I love melafix but for ich, I'd get an ich med and not mess around with the guesswork.

Start SLOWLY to increase the heat in the tank to above 86 (check all the other fish can handle this). This will speed up the ICH cycle and the ich itself can not live in these temps. You will need to provide extra airation and keep these temps up for 2 weeks..saves a fortune on meds and works for me!
