I have two bottles of King British WS3 whitespot treatment in my cupboard. I noticed a few spots on my fish today so i got out the two bottles...here comes the twist:

One bottle says use 1 drop per 7 litres of water and the other says use 1 drop per 4.5 litres of water! They both say be careful not to overdose aswell.
They are identical bottles so its not even because one is more concentrated than the other or anything.
Any suggestions on how much to use?

Ps: i am waiting for an email from King British.

I would go with the drop per gallon. What kind of fish are in the tank as usually upping the temp to 82f works well and making sure you have lots of extra air.

Your best bet might be to email them. Go to sinclair-sahc.com and use the form on the Contact page.

I had to wait a few days for a response but they are very helpful and usually give out good information.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see that you already emailed them. Good move

 Check the dates on them...although you did say they were identical.
Thats really weird, and would be funny if the fish didn't have whitespot  -_- .
Good luck anyway and let us know what happens :good: .

Yea i have upped the temp Black Angel and i think that previously i have used a drop per gallon. I have always wondered how 'a drop' can be accurate anyway!

Dear Zoe,

The reason for the difference in dosages is the size of the hole in the
dropper. Due to a change in the supplier of the droppers, the hole size
changed slightly, therefore we adjusted the dose accordingly.

You should use the WS3 as per the label on each of the two bottles.
