I have 2 oscars in a tank that consists on 3 tiger barbs, 3 grouamis, black mollie, 2 red tailed sharks, clown loach a pleco and a bala shark for over 2 months now and they have yet to attempt to attack or kill any other members on the tank its a 55 gallon, which I know is to small for all those fish im just waiting for my larger tank to cycle. Its weird, I have fed them shrimp and oscar food and the rest of the fish there own food. Nothing no attempt to kill any of the fish, I watch these guys for hours almost nightly. Maybe oscars can live among the rest? I have pictures and video if people do not believe. Im even wondering how its possible for 2 months. One oscar is about palm size maybe a little bigger the other is a baby.

A palm sized oscar is pretty much a baby too. :)

They're not known for their aggressiveness (except towards each other), but for their greed. I predict they'll eventually look at the mollies and go "hmm I wonder if that's edible..." and the next thing you know, the mollies start disappearing.

I'm more surprised that you're able to keep 2 red tailed sharks that haven't killed each other.

Yeah one red tailed shark is about 6 years old and has traveled with me through 2 moves and water changes and bad times still kickin the other is about 1 1/2 old they tussle once and a while but they dont kill each other.

Sounds like they're living in a very suitable tank then.

Sometimes you do see these "big no no" combinations working fine. A friend of mine has broken all the rules about mixing tangs of both the same and different species in his marine setup, but they're all living together happily. I guess it's because it's a 400 gallon tank with lots of rock, so they can easily get out of each others' way whenever there are arguments.

haha nice thats awesome. I mean there all in a 55 gallon like a said you know. I dont know it seems to be working for them all 2 months later. Granted there is a huge intimadation factor in the tank the others are scared of the oscars but they all live together fine so far!! who knows we will see! I love my fish though so hopefully they continue to mingle.

Ah yeah didn't notice the tank size in your first post. Are you planning to upgrade? Might get a bit crowded otherwise.
