Hey all I am kinda new here so here goes.
I have a 55gal tank with 1 red tail shark, 1 pacaussimass (I don't know how to spell his name algae eater), 2 flying fish, 3 Mini neon Tetras, 1 sword tail, 2 neon orange Tetras and thats it for now
. The filter is the Bio Wheel 450 penguin.
But here is the problem My tank is producing algae and alot of it. I clean my tank about twice a month but the algae keeps coming back. I have the lights on a timer they come on at 10am and go off at 8pm. I have gone to our fish place here in town (they have been around for 20yrs) they know what their talking about but can't tell me how to get rid of the algae all they keep saying is nothing you can do. That doesn't sound right but maybe thats just me.
So any help on this would be great.
See in the past I had a ton of fish in this tank then we went to disneyworld for a week and the filter died and so did most of the fish. So I started over with like 2 fish left out of 14.
