Hi I have a 45 litre tank, 25'c at a PH 6.4. It has some guppies I reacently added a lyretail killifish, since then my guppies fins have started to rip, it isn't fin rot as it lookes like huge chunks have been eaten. The killifish seens peaceful, mayby the killifish being without a female has caused distubance between the fish?- normally killifish are peaceful.
Thank you for your help

Now there's a misconception..... Certain species may be considered peaceful but I have witnessed an australe hound a female to her death even though there were atleast 3 other females present.
What are you doing keeping guppies in an acidic environment they prefer harder water and a pH from neutral to 8.7 to be at their best.
Guppies with long flowing tails are an advertisement for disaster in a community tank if you ask me.
They simply dont last long and I would imagine that the killifish would make light work of it in the long run.
Regards
BigC
