Hi
I have a 126ltr community tank that was great until a pair of Blue Rams moved in. I think i ended up with two males one of which didnt last long. Since then the other has gone on a killing spree, he has killed:

Cardinal Tetras
Rainbow Fish
Tiger Barbs
:eek:sama:

Any ideas what to put with him? I was going to get a female but im worried he will kill her as well!!

Any ideas would be good as the tank is looking empty!!

BTW all stats are good the tank is planted

Thanks

well ime it breaks down to the fact that new world cichlids are very territorial. and all the ram is doing is what he knows best. making a territory that he is unwilling to share with the other fish and so he is going to beat the snot out of them until he has his territory.

I think you just have a really bad tempered one. I would ask the LFS if they will exchange him for another fish, unless you are attached to your little demon :good:

Get him a female, but re-arrange the tank before doing so. Also get something more to add, like a rock or piece of wood, so another territory can be made.

getting him a female is not going to do much. It is most likley that he/she will be harrased as well. I would try to get a small group (if you can afford it) of rams and find one he/she is compatable with and take the rest back. or you could just take the devil ram back and exchange it!
