Okay so some of you may have seen my earlier post about loosing a fish a day (still going on!) i noticed on yesterday fish which was dying when i got in from work that she had torn fins.... crusty replied to my post last night and suggested a video 'to catch the bully red handed'... well, i have a dalmation male mollie which i did buy around the same time as the others but it's twice the size and rules the tank - can mollies get that agressive? If so, how do i resolve my problem? Flush it down the toilet :grr: ?? Seems wrong but my OH is up for lolol

Lost fish
1 betta
3 platys
1 neon
1 mollie

Thanks everyone!!

It is not unusual for mollies to be aggressive. I don't know what your other stocking is, but it helps to keep 2+ females per male, have the tank heavily planted, and not mix them with smaller livebearers (such as platys or guppies) and not mix them with particularly fancy fish such as Bettas and small fish such as neons..

This is why I never recommend them.

If he was my fish, I would try the following option in this order:
1. Take him back to the shop and swap for a more peaceful fish.
2. Give him to someone else who keeps mollies.
3. Add more females.
