The other day i went to my lfs and saw aome khuli loaches.

I was thinking of getting them but i don't know anything about them.

Are they easy to keep?

Minimum tank size etc?

Not very big, 3" or so. Better kept in large groups, like you would tetras. Minimum tank size, probably 10g or so.

they are from 3-4 inches, need groups of no smaller than 3, but 5 or 6 is ideal, they are pretty hardy but like a mature tank...20 gallon minimum

Ok thanks anymore info.

Are they aggresive?

they're not aggressive at all i've got a group of 8 in my 60 ltr
they used to only come out at night but now the group is larger they are comming out during the day

they love sand substrate and some hiding places
they eat normal bottom feeder food and enjoy the same sorts of treats

they add very little bioload to a tank and are great fun to watch

Nah, kuhlis are tiny, and they aren't exactly active open water swimmers. 20 is a bit of an overkill as a minimum.

i would say my 60 litre would be the minimum for them as they are quite active little buggers

Actually, I sort of lie- I can never remember the dimensions of standard tanks (you can't really get 10g tanks as per se in the UK), what I actually meant was minimum tank size is probably a standard 2*12*12. Although, of course, it's up to you really.
