My KH is high and I'm trying to get my PH down so it's not helping any. I already tried a water softener pillow, and salt, but all they do is raise PH. Can someone help me out here?
I've heard adding bogwood to the tank, or using peat in the filter can help. It can leave a bit of tannin staining in the water though. Also if you have live plants, a co2 diffuser can also lower ph.
I've actually got the opposite problem - like I don't have a KH!! Its under 1.
