Hi
My 2 keyholes (Lloyd & Grossman) have until now been the same standard keyhole colouring tonight however I noticed 1 of them has gone a distinctly darker almost camoflaged take on the standard keyhole colouration.
Tank water stats are dead on no ammonia no nitrite and 30 nitrate and they are not being attacked by anything although my 2 GBR do often chase them its for a very brief period and the tank has enough hiding places/broken sightlines that the keyholes can go to there own place.
Im a little worried by this I read somewhere as a pair mature into adult colours this can happen but I don't know if this is true or nonesense the other of the 2 is the same colouration it always was and they both seem to be eating fine and swimming ok (although being timid they quite often swim in the heavily planted areas although they do go open tank when they feel like it)
If it is the GBR's causing them stress could I keep the 2 keyholes in my 155L guppy tank till my new tank arrives ? I had planned to seperate them at this point from the GBR in any case. Although they have lived with the GBR for 2 or 3 months now and ive only noticed the colour change in the last few days.
