i have a pair of keyholes.they have been together for approx one year.hoped to breed them but no joy.they always hang around near each other and once or twice they have mouth locked for a moment. they occasionally kind of tail slap each other.recently the smaller one seems to flare its gills more than normal. the bigger one has grown quite a lot in the last six months and is beginning to boss the clown loaches(3 of ) about a bit. they both have very long dorsal and anal fins so i think there both male but could they be being put of spawning by the other boisterous fish? the clowns are quite manic and the tank isnt that big. advise pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't know a male form a female sorry. But if you want to try enticing them to spawn, you can either raise the temperature or drop the PH. If they are not both Males, then you should hear some Barry White coming from the tank.
