Would it be all right to keep one male apistogramma without any females? Just wondering, as I have a lone male apistogramma cacatuoides, and have no sources at this time for any females. I just want to make sure he'll be all right on his own.
Thanks.

from what I know about apisto's they are fine on there own although I believe they can be happier with more of their own kind they can be kept singular

The one big disadvantage is missing out on the mating rituals, displays and interaction between the male and female. I find this to be one of the really interesting aspects of keeping apistos. Your lone male will be just fine though.

#1 I have very limited access to any apistogramma species that are in my price range

and #2 What the heck would I do with all the fry?? lol.
