I have a 29 litre tank that I made for breeding Celestial Pearl Danios in. It has an old Eheim 2011 250lph external canister filtering it. When I breed the danios, I introduce the 6 females to the tank and feed them up for several days before adding 2 or 3 males. After a further 5 days I remove all of them and cross fingers.
My question is; how do I make sure the filter stays cycled for the next attempt or the arrival of babies. It is often unoccupied for about 2 weeks.
