My new tank arrived today, a nice Juwel RIO 400. Only issue I have is that it comes with a fixed in black box to house the built in filter. As I dont plan on using this one, so how is best to remove it?

Carefully, with a razor blade - they are held in with silicone. Take your time, you'll do it no probs.

Edit: Meant to say craft knife or stanley - then use flat edge of a razor to take the remaining silicone off the glass. Good luck :)

Get a cooker scrapper, its like a long stanley knife held in a handle.

Tom

ps - just got a 400 myself

I picked it up on sunday & will be putting a stock list up soon. Its in the garage at the moment as I dont have the time to do the changeover at the mo.
