well it arrived today, even though i didn't think it would due to the snow. The cabinet was easy to assemble, the hardest part was sticking the Juwel backing to the tank. It really looks the biz in our living room. The tank before was in the kitchen. As some of you know, the missus had agreed to let me have a bigger tank if i stopped smoking. Well i have now also done 6 days no smoking. The missus has said that if i do start again, she'll send the tank back! Well here she is...

gonna fill her up tomorrow, add the old media.

thanks for looking.

nice tank!!! luving that backing :good: congrats on quiting aswell! its hard huh??? ive been smoke free for 3 years now, lets hope you keep it up

I'm gonna be adding the fish in my sig to start with, leaving them for a few weeks. I am rehoming the guppies though, they're going to the father in laws. The Hilstream loach went back to LFS some time ago as the tropical tamps weren't doing him any good. As for the future i really am not sure yet. I do fancy a couple of angels.

edit Razor, your wood will definitely be sent tomorrow.

wow i love the trigons...

howmuch did this set you back?

oh, and well done on the quitting, :drink: keep it up, the first week or so is the worst :good:

well, the tank and cabinet cost me £360 from seapets, i have also bought the backing @ £60, 2 bags of white coral sand @ £30 and a new bottle of dechlorinator for £8. So a fair bit, but its worth it!

day 2

ive had a busy morning...

adding the sand (been up since 8 in the garden washing it!)

looks really nice!

i did have an airstone with my sand but it dug itself a hole and pushed the sand around the tank on my ornaments, fish the lot!

the main reason i added the air stone is to agitate the water under the filter cos with the main filtration coming through the top grill. Plus it does look good and hides the filter a bit.

day 3 and plants and decor in, i have nipped to LFS to get more plants this afternoon, but haven't planted yet. I have also bought a 1000 lph powerhead (which i have asked a couple of questions about in the Hardware section of the forum)

anyways...
