Juwel Filter Box

Hi all,

I have a juwel filer box in my nano FOWLR setup atm, it isnt really filtering so i want to take it out and replace with a fluval +2, with everything in there
CUC,
2 cleaner shrimps and no fish, how can i go about taking it out? will i need to take everything out of the tank and then cut it or can i cut it out with water and livestock and lr in there?
