Hi!
When i first added fish to my tank (about 4 months ago), i put in 3 female and 1 male swordtail. Everything was fine, then 2 weeks later the male died. So off i went to the shop and bought another female and male. Two weeks later, the male died again. I started to think i was destined not to have male swordtails so i didn't worry about getting another. Then a month later one of the original female swords that i bought decided to turn into a male. I have read about that happening so that was fine, but what i was wondering was.... would this new male have been dominant even before his sex developed, and could he have been responsible for the deaths of the other males.
And while i'm at it, i have a 55g tank with the 4 swordtails, 6 black widow tetras and 2 what look like siamese algae eater, any suggestions on other good fish to add?
Thanks for any suggestions.
