hi everyone,
im new to the serious buisness of fish keeping and also to this site, ive been keeping fish for a few years now in a small 2' tank. last year i was fortunate enough to be given a jewel vision 450 all in working order except for the internal filter. the man said it had broken down so he had taken the insides of it out and been using an ehiem pro2 - which he duly gave me too.
anyway after much fustraion (diease, fish dying ect.) the tank has been stable for a few months now - to be honest the disease ect was probably my fault as i was unaware of the ANN cycle ect and stocked the tank imediatly after getting it.
over the last few months ive stocking the tank gradually and have got it to where i want it now. i have 3 live plants and as of today an area of riccia and also an area of java moss which i put in using the very helpfull instuctions on this site.
the tanks inhabitants are :
4 angel fish
6 cardinal tetras
3 black neons
2 white tip tetras
2 dwarf gouramis
1 pearl gourami
1 honey gourami
1 albino red tail shark
1 clown loach
1 pleco
2 dalmation mollies
everyone gets along just fine and is viberant in coulor and behavior plus all water tests are ok so im pleased. the only problem i have is with two of the angels not getting along - more detail in the new world chiclid + emergancy parts of forums as i paniced and posted twice.... sorry. the black neons and white tips were both in scoles of six but unfortuntely i was given some BAD advice and was told it was ok to put a dwarf puffer in a comunity tank and overnight my tank was decimated.
im in aberdeen, scotland and have now hopefully got this forum to get good info from and also ive recently been told of a shop called waterworld that has won awards ect. and after speking with staff they seemed pretty clued up on things so thats good
anyway its late and im off to bed but heres to many years great fish keeping for all and ill post some pice of my tank here soon
bye
