just thought i would share my first planted tank. hope you all like and any suddgestions on moving plants around or buying new plants are welcome

it looks really good but some of those plants arnt 100% aquatic they will die in a month or two

the red purple one
and the green one with the white stripes

i would replace them with a different plant

I think it looks great. If it was mine, I'd be proud if it was, I would make one small change. Because it is a small tank, I might consider some fine gravel for the front. Thats all. Because it looks so good as it is.

thanks for the replies. ok i will get some more later on in the week or next weekend. what plants woud you recomend. i seen like a moss ball today a green one which looked nice would that be ok.
thanks again

Add more water.
Remove the leads and plant them into the gravel.
All of the plants you have are large plants(excluding the non-aquatic ones), maybe something like sagitaria sabulta (spelling)
just look on the tropica website and look for plants that stay small and need low light.

i have been told the two plants on the left are non aquatic. s this true because they have been showing signs of a groth spert since i have added Co2 and have lots of new leaves i only got them yesterday
thanks

Yes, Black Molly, it is true. They are most often sold in aquaria shops, yet are not fit to be submerged. Quite often people buy them, because they do indeed look good, and then they die. Leaving the keeper a liitle perplexed at their abilities. You should remove them.
Might I suggest Anubis Nana as a good plant to use instead.

agreed.
Take them back and ask why they sold you plants that are unsuitable, if they don't swap them tell them they're violating the trade descriptions act and misleading the customer.
A brilliant place for beginners plants believe it or not is pets at home since all of their plants are from tropica and are aquatic. you will however have to do some research instead of sporadic purchasing since many will be unsuitable, ie require hi light get too big or need nutritious substrate.

i think i have a Anubis Nana it looks identical to the google images i typed in. i have been told to fasten it to a rock or elce it will die. nbut on some of them google pics some of them are planted. is this an Anubis Nana this is from my tank

It is a flower. Many aquatic plants produce flowers below the water's surface and some produce them above the surface. I'm curious about the "hairs" though, some more pictures would be nice.

You are already aware of your non-aquatics. I developed the habit of buying them anyway and then growing them as houseplants. I think they appreciate the rescue.
