ok, so ive just set up a new 3foot tank and i have a piece of bogwood in there and some fake plants. i decided that a wanted to try and have a couple of live ones at least. i thought i would get amazon sword, java moss and some sort of anubias buut when i got to the lfs they dont have any of that (except the anubias already attached to wood on 'special' for $40) So i talked to the guy and said i wanted something easy and suitable for low light. I ended up getting some tall grassy looking plant and another one with medium sized round green leaves. i dont know what they are but i think the second one started with c.

can anyone help me id these plants?

also i have just a 30W flourescent light over this 35 gallon tank, and a very fine gravel substrate (reasonably thick), i dont really want to have to buy new light fightinigs and all the rest so is it even do-able to have plants in this tank?
oh and there are no fish in there yet.

ok i think the grassy one is thai onion plant/ crinum thianaum, still dont know about the other tho

Do you have any pics? That would help us identify them better.

The crinum grows to more than a metre in length, So hope you have a large tank :)
